* Each employee must complete an assessment with one of our trainers.
* The employer/corporation provides a monthly subsidy for each employee's YMCA memberships.

All State of Maine Employee Members must visit at least 8 times each month to be eligible for $40 reimbursement from the State. If they miss their visit minimum, they will not be reimbursed for that month.
Monthly usage and Transaction reports are to be collected for the SOM employee at the to the end of each quarter to hand into their HR representative.
State of Maine Adult Draft ($43.20) - to be used for one single person that is a State employee. Reimbursed $40
State of Maine Family/Adult Couple Draft ($63.90) - to be used for either a family or a couple (whereas at least the primary is a State employee. Can be used for Couples as well (whereas at least the primary is a State employee) if both are SOM employees Reimbursed $62.55. If only one adult is a SOM Employee Reimbursed $40
State of Maine One Parent Family Draft ($53.10) - to be used for a family with only one parent on it and that person is a State employee. Reimbursed $40
State of Maine Senior Draft ($28.80) - to be used for one single State employee 65+ years of age. Reimbursed $28.80
State of Maine Senior Family/Couple Draft ($49.50) - to be used for a couple or a family with a State employee as a primary and at least one person on the membership is 65+ years of age. Reimbursed $40
State of Maine Young Adult Draft ($32.40)- to be used for a young adult in the age range of 19-23 who is a State employee. Reimbursed $32.40
The Kennebec Valley YMCA is a participating SilverSneakers® and PRIME location. If you are retired and over the age of 65, your insurance may cover a full membership at the Kennebec Valley YMCA. The KV YMCA offers a variety of SilverSneakers® group exercise classes that are targeted toward those who are eligible for a SilverSneakers®PRIME membership. These classes, focused around the health and well-being of Seniors, include:
SilverSneakers® I: Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscle strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Handheld weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
SilverSneakers® YogaStretch: YogaStretch will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.
