* There is no cost to the employer to join.
* A minimum of 5 employees must join to qualify for the program.
* Each employee must complete an assessment with one of our trainers.
* The employer/corporation provides a monthly subsidy for each employee's YMCA memberships.
* This program includes nutrition, education and exercise programs!

All State of Maine Employee Members must visit at least 8 times each month to be eligible for reimbursement from the State. If they miss their visit minimum, they will not be reimbursed for that month.
Monthly usage and Transaction reports are to be collected for the SOM employee at the to the end of each quarter to hand into their HR representative.
State of Maine Adult Draft ($45.00) - to be used for single person that is a State employee.
State of Maine Adult Couple Draft ($60.30) - to be used for a couple (whereas the primary is a State employee).
State of Maine One Parent Family Draft ($55.80) - to be used for a family with only one parent and their children (adult on the membership must be a State employee).
State of Maine Family Draft ($69.30)- to be used for an adult couple anf their children under age 23 (at least 1 adult must be a State employee).
State of Maine Senior Draft ($31.50) - to be used for one single State employee 65+ years of age.
State of Maine Senior Couple Draft ($53.10) - to be used for a couple or a family with a State employee as a primary (at least one person on membership is 65+ years of age).
State of Maine Young Adult Draft ($35.10)- to be used for a young adult in the age range of 19-23 who is a State employee.

The Kennebec Valley YMCA is a participating SilverSneakers® location. If you are retired and over the age of 65, your insurance may cover a full membership at the Kennebec Valley YMCA. To find out if you are eligible, contact your insurance provider to see if they are partnered with Healthways.
The KV YMCA offers a variety of SilverSneakers® group exercise classes that are targeted toward those who are eligible for a SilverSneakers® membership. These classes, focused around the health and well-being of Seniors, include:
SilverSneakers® I: Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscle strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Handheld weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
SilverSneakers® YogaStretch: YogaStretch will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.
*These classes are open to any and all members. You do not have to be eligible for the SilverSneakers® membership to attend.
