Head Swim Team Coach

The Kennebec Valley YMCA is seeking a motivated and inclusive YMCA Head Swim Coach to
lead KVY Stingrays, one of Augusta's most accomplished youth sports programs. This is an
opportunity for a coach who is passionate about developing swimmers at all levels-from early
competitive athletes to those pursuing collegiate swimming-while building a positive, team-
centered culture. The role offers flexibility in time commitment (full or part time) and excellent
leadership building experience.

Full Time Maintenance Tech

Full Time Maintenance Tech career opportunity! Candidate will be responsible for basic functions of building maintenance at all KV YMCA locations, including camp when needed, minor repairs, grounds keeping, monitor building for safety and cleanliness. Provides rapid and timely responses to all accidents, situations, incidents and emergencies appropriately, using proper techniques and procedures. 40 hours + benefits!

Assistant Daycare Teacher

The Assistant Teacher is a 28-32 hour-per-week position in the preschool classroom with some opportunities to substitute in other classrooms.This position is responsible for assisting Lead Teacher in all aspects of the classroom, including developing a program that accepts and nurtures all children in a calm, loving and committed manner.The Assistant Teacher must also communicate effectively with parents and colleagues and monitor the safety and cleanliness of the classroom on a daily basis.

Lifeguards - All Shifts

We are currently seeking part time, early morning lifeguards to work at our Augusta Campus. This is a very flexible position, but AM or PM , year-round or fall/winter/spring availability is a must! Multiple Positions and are willing to train the right candidate on site!

Swim Instructors

Provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in swimming classes. Instructs swimming lessons as assigned in accordance with YMCA guidelines, having prepared lesson plans accordingly. Develops positive relationships with members and participants and provides motivational support and guidance. Encourages member and parent involvement and identifies potential volunteers. Conveys information on aquatics programs and schedules and as appropriate refers members and participants to other programs. Maintains records as required (i.e. attendance, progress reports, etc.). Attends staff meetings and trainings as scheduled. Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary. Organizes and puts away needed class equipment. Reports damaged equipment. Trains and supervises class aides as assigned.
