Meet our Coaches
Sara Rushton (Interim Head Coach)
Coach Sara joined the KVY Stingrays in 2021. She is a graduate of Springfield College with a degree in Sports Biology. She is currently a teacher at Messalonskee High School where she teaches math and Science.
For the past 20 years, Sara has officiated at the junior high, high school, and college levels and coached high school and YMCA swim teams in Massachusetts as well as at Messalonskee High School and Mid-Maine Dolphins. She has worked with all levels of swimmers from those just starting on the swim team to YMCA National qualifiers. Sara shared, "I am excited to continue my coaching career with the Stingrays while sharing my passion for swimming while working with kids to focus on technique and having fun."
